Boride Combination Bench Stone

The Boride Engineered Abrasives combination stone is designed for burr removal, sharpening, and refining the cutting edge. The stone is pre-oiled during manufacturing, allowing for fast and consistent metal removal while preventing the abrasive pores from clogging.

The stone features two working sides:

• 120 grit — for coarse grinding and edge shaping
• 320 grit — for refining and more precise sharpening

Thanks to this combination, the stone works well as a versatile option for basic sharpening of knives and tools.

Although the stone is pre-oiled, it is recommended to use additional lubricant during sharpening. This helps prevent the pores of the stone from clogging with metal particles and preserves its cutting performance.

Compared to Arkansas stones, this stone provides a more aggressive cutting action. It can also be paired with Arkansas stones to cover a full grit progression — from coarse shaping to fine finishing.
