Description

The Boride stone set is assembled from different series and is perfectly suited for sharpening knives made of any type of steel – from soft to the hardest. The set includes 5 stones of various grit sizes, allowing you to cover all stages of sharpening: from coarse grinding to final polishing.

The set includes:

  • F150 – Boride Ruby – coarse grinding, fast metal removal, edge shaping.
    Works with water

  • F220 – Boride CS-HD – preliminary edge alignment.
    Works with water

  • F400 – Boride AS-9 – working sharpening, forming the main bevel.
    Works with oil

  • F600 – Boride T2 – preparing the edge for finishing.
    Works with oil

  • F1200 – Boride PC – final honing of the edge.
    Works with oil

This carefully selected grit progression ensures a smooth transition from stone to stone and efficient sharpening with minimal time spent.

Stone features:

  • Stone size:  6х1" (155 × 25 × 6 mm)

  • Blank size:  6х1" (155 × 25 × 3 mm)

  • Blank: aluminum blanks with laser engraving

  • Abrasive: Aluminum Oxide and Silicon Carbide

  • Grit classification: FEPA standard

  • Stones can be used dry, but recommended lubricants (water or oil) are preferable

  • Excessive pressure during sharpening is not recommended

Care & Maintenance

  • To clean the stones, simply rinse them under running water with soap, using a stiff brush (a toothbrush works well). The Hapstone Dressing Stone is also an excellent option.

  • For flattening, it is recommended to use silicon carbide powder with grit size at least twice as coarse as the grit of the sharpening stone.

Note
Minor manufacturing imperfections may be present on the surface of the stones, such as saw marks or small chips along the edges and corners (up to 1 mm). These do not affect performance.
