Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of www.hapstone.pro, including all purchases, services, information, tools, and features available through this website.
By accessing this website, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use this website or purchase products through it.
1. About Hapstone.pro
Hapstone.pro is the official international online store of Hapstone. Products ordered through this website are generally prepared and shipped from Ukraine unless otherwise stated on the product page or during checkout.
References in these Terms to “Hapstone,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of Hapstone.pro and the Hapstone team responsible for product information, order fulfillment, delivery, customer support, warranty service, returns, and refunds.
2. Western Bid Payment Disclaimer
This store is integrated with the Western Bid™ e-commerce platform, and Western Bid, Inc. is the Merchant of Record for all purchases made in this store. Therefore, you will see “WESTERN BID” listed as the payee on your PayPal account and credit card statement.
The appearance of “WESTERN BID,” “westernbid.com,” or another Western Bid-related payment description on your statement does not mean that the payment is unauthorized or that your order was placed on a different website.
Western Bid, Inc. facilitates payment acceptance as the Merchant of Record. Hapstone remains responsible for product information, order preparation, shipment, delivery support, warranty service, returns, exchanges, and customer communication relating to purchases made on Hapstone.pro.
3. Eligibility to Use the Store
By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws applicable in your country of residence.
If you use this website on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.
4. Acceptable Use
You must not use this website:
- for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose;
- in violation of applicable local, national, or international law;
- to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights;
- to transmit malware, viruses, harmful code, or automated attacks;
- to interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- to collect information about other users without authorization;
- to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
- to attempt to bypass payment, account, or website security systems.
We may restrict or terminate access to the website if we reasonably believe that these Terms have been violated.
5. Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, specifications, compatibility information, dimensions, and usage recommendations.
Product images are provided for reference. Minor differences in color, surface finish, texture, packaging, dimensions, engraving, or appearance may occur due to manufacturing revisions, screen settings, lighting, or the technical nature of the product.
Such minor differences are not considered defects when they do not materially affect the normal use or stated performance of the product.
Product specifications, packaging, included accessories, and design details may be updated without prior notice when the change does not materially reduce the product’s intended function.
6. Abrasive Products
Sharpening stones, diamond and CBN stones, ceramic stones, compounds, emulsions, pastes, leather strops, lapping products, and similar items are technical consumable products.
Their performance may be affected by the steel being sharpened, pressure, lubricant, surface preparation, break-in, contamination, flattening, dressing, storage, and the user’s sharpening technique.
Differences in cutting speed, tactile feedback, slurry production, scratch pattern, surface appearance, or perceived performance do not automatically indicate a manufacturing defect.
Please inspect abrasive products before use and follow all product instructions and warnings. Used abrasive products and strops may be subject to special return restrictions described in our Returns and Refunds Policy.
7. Prices and Currency
Product prices are displayed in the currency selected on the website or shown during checkout.
Prices, discounts, promotional offers, and product availability may change without prior notice. A price change does not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid, except in the case of an obvious pricing or technical error.
Currency conversion may be performed by the payment provider, card issuer, PayPal, bank, or e-commerce platform. The final charged amount may differ slightly due to exchange rates or fees applied by third parties.
8. Taxes, Customs Duties, and Import Charges
Unless explicitly stated otherwise during checkout or in our Delivery Information, product prices do not include customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Such charges are normally the responsibility of the recipient.
Special conditions may apply to certain destinations. For example, applicable import duties for standard orders delivered from Hapstone.pro to customers in the United States may be paid by Hapstone as described in our Delivery Information.
Customs rules and charges are determined by the authorities of the destination country. Hapstone cannot guarantee or control the amount of charges imposed by customs authorities or carriers.
9. Orders
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products under these Terms.
An automated order confirmation confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted or shipped.
We may review an order before acceptance and may contact you to verify payment, delivery information, product compatibility, order quantity, or other details.
10. Right to Refuse or Cancel an Order
We may refuse, limit, or cancel an order when:
- the product is unavailable or incorrectly listed as available;
- the price or product information contains an obvious error;
- payment cannot be authorized or verified;
- the delivery address is incomplete, incorrect, or unsupported;
- the order appears fraudulent or presents a security risk;
- the order violates applicable sanctions, export rules, or law;
- the quantity ordered is not available for retail sale;
- the customer has materially violated these Terms.
If a paid order is cancelled by Hapstone, the corresponding payment will be refunded using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
11. Customer Information
You agree to provide complete and accurate account, billing, delivery, and contact information.
You are responsible for checking the recipient’s name, address, postal code, telephone number, and email address before submitting the order.
Hapstone is not responsible for delays, failed delivery, additional carrier charges, customs issues, or returned parcels caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer.
12. Payment
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout. Payment processing may be provided by Western Bid, PayPal, card networks, banks, or other authorized payment service providers.
By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.
Hapstone does not request that customers send full card details, passwords, or security codes by email. Do not send sensitive payment credentials to customer support.
13. Delivery
Delivery methods, estimated transit times, tracking procedures, customs conditions, consolidated shipping, and regional carrier information are described in our Delivery Information.
Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed in writing.
Hapstone is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, carriers, weather, holidays, border restrictions, incorrect customer information, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
14. Risk of Loss and Delivery Confirmation
A parcel is generally considered delivered when the carrier records successful delivery to the address, recipient, authorized person, pickup point, parcel locker, reception desk, or other location selected or approved by the customer.
If tracking shows delivery but the parcel cannot be located, contact us promptly so that we can review the case and, where appropriate, request an investigation from the carrier.
15. Returns and Refunds
Returns, exchanges, damaged products, non-returnable items, abrasive restrictions, return shipping costs, inspections, and refunds are governed by our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Products must not be sent back without prior return authorization.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under the law applicable to the purchase.
16. Warranty
Warranty coverage applies to confirmed manufacturing defects under the conditions stated on the applicable product page, warranty documentation, or warranty policy.
The warranty does not normally cover:
- normal wear and tear;
- consumable products or naturally wearing components;
- damage caused by improper assembly or use;
- damage caused by excessive force, impact, or misuse;
- unauthorized modification or repair;
- cosmetic changes that do not affect normal operation;
- damage caused by improper storage, maintenance, or lubricant;
- loss or damage caused after delivery.
We may request photographs, video, measurements, serial numbers, or other information required to evaluate a warranty claim.
17. Regional Hapstone Stores
Hapstone also operates regional websites:
- www.hapstone-usa.com for customers in the United States;
- www.hapstone.eu for customers in the European Union.
Regional websites may have different inventory, pricing, promotions, payment methods, delivery conditions, legal entities, and policies.
These Terms apply specifically to purchases made through Hapstone.pro.
18. Third-Party Products and Services
Hapstone.pro may offer products manufactured by third parties or provide links to third-party websites and services.
Third-party trademarks, product names, and logos belong to their respective owners.
Hapstone is not responsible for the independent content, privacy practices, terms, availability, or operation of external websites.
Product-related support for third-party goods purchased from Hapstone.pro should first be directed to Hapstone customer support.
19. Optional Tools and Website Integrations
The website may provide access to tools, payment services, tracking systems, review platforms, communication services, or other features operated by third parties.
These services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies issued by their providers.
We do not guarantee that every third-party service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
20. Reviews, Comments, and User Content
If you submit a review, photograph, suggestion, technical comment, or other content, you confirm that:
- the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- you have the right to submit it;
- it does not infringe the rights of another person;
- it does not contain unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or malicious material;
- it does not contain malware or misleading links.
You grant Hapstone a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, translate, edit, and display submitted content for customer support, product development, marketing, and website operation, unless prohibited by applicable law.
We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
21. Intellectual Property
The Hapstone name, logos, website design, product images, text, manuals, diagrams, videos, product descriptions, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use website materials for personal, non-commercial reference only. You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit these materials without prior written permission.
22. Privacy
The collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy.
Payment providers, carriers, customs authorities, and other service providers may process information required to complete payment, delivery, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and customer support.
23. Errors and Corrections
The website may occasionally contain typographical errors, incorrect prices, inaccurate availability, incomplete specifications, outdated information, or technical errors.
We reserve the right to correct such errors, update information, or cancel an affected order when reasonably necessary.
If a paid order is cancelled because of an error, the relevant payment will be refunded.
24. Availability of the Website
We do not guarantee that the website or every feature will be available continuously, securely, or without errors.
We may temporarily suspend or modify parts of the website for maintenance, security, technical, legal, or operational reasons.
25. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that general educational or technical information on the website will be suitable for every product, blade, steel, abrasive, sharpening method, or individual application.
Customers are responsible for reading product instructions, following safety guidance, and confirming compatibility before use.
26. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hapstone will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue, data, business opportunity, or expected savings.
Where liability may legally be limited, Hapstone’s total liability relating to a specific order will not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not affect mandatory consumer rights, warranty remedies, or liability that cannot be limited by law.
27. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Hapstone for reasonable losses, claims, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the website, material violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or fraudulent activity.
28. Force Majeure
Hapstone is not responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, military activity, border restrictions, government actions, customs delays, carrier interruptions, labor disputes, power failures, cyber incidents, transportation shortages, or communications outages.
We will make reasonable efforts to reduce the impact of such events and continue fulfilling orders where possible.
29. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
30. No Waiver
A failure or delay by Hapstone to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that or another provision later.
31. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Delivery Information, Returns and Refunds Policy, warranty conditions, and any product-specific terms, form the agreement governing your use of Hapstone.pro and purchases made through it.
32. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to the website operator and the relevant transaction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in the customer’s country.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right, cancellation right, warranty, remedy, refund, or other protection that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our operations, products, services, payment systems, legal requirements, or website functionality.
