Features

Rozsutec sharpening stones are used for finish sharpening knives on Hapstone Pro sharpener. Rozsutec stone is natural abrasive material of high density. Rozsutec stones have approximately 6 mm thickness and mounted on high quality aluminum blanks.

Rozsutec stone is mined in the Slovakian Mala-Fatra mountains. Rozsutec is Sedimentary sandstone. A Rozsutec micro crystalline structure consists of a fused crystal grains of different sizes.

Nice fine grit natural stone, with characteristics much like a cross between a *good* hard Arkansas and a translucent Arkansas. Very hard stone, cuts slowly, but leaves a semi-polished finish, gives slightly better polish if used with a nagura, but doesn't create significant slurry of its own. Stone came well mounted on an Edge Pro compatible aluminum base, the stone was also very nicely finished, with slightly rounded edges and a perfectly flat top surface, no prep needed before use! I have only used this stone on modern stainless steels so far, but I suspect it will perform better on high carbon steel since it does not cut high carbide stainless aggressively.
